VOLUNTEERS' WEEK CELEBRATION QUIZ - THE WINNERS
Many thanks to all of the organisations who took part in our celebration quiz to mark our 1st birthday and the 25th anniversary of Volunteers' Week. The evening was a huge success, with organisations giving thanks to their volunteers and, of course, winning cash prizes to spend on them! Well done to Sleaford & District Citizens Advice Bureaus team "The Cabbies" who won the quiz, taking away £150 to spend on their volunteers, with The Source "Bee" Team collecting 2nd prize of £100 and Sense Charity Shops team "The Sensibles" taking 3rd prize of £50.

Youth Volunteering Initiative launched 
Lincolnshire's vinvolved youth volunteering programme has launched! vinvolved is a national initiative, which in Lincolnshire, is being headed by the charities Urban Challenge and its West Area Volunteer Centres, LCVYS and Lincolnshire County Council.
Over the next three years, the vinvolved programme will make it easier for young people from across the county to volunteer, by creating a national network of youth experts, innovative projects and volunteering champions. This network offer a consistently high standard of information, support and volunteering opportunities that match young people's passions and interests.
If you aged 16-25 and are interested in volunteering, or you are part of an organisation that can offer volunteering opportunities for this age range,

Lincs2gether is an ESF (European Social Fund) project being delivered in partnership between Urban Challenge, Community Lincs, South Lincs CVS and VAEL. This is a two year project ending in December 2010, and aimed at the voluntary and community sector to enable small/medium organisations to deliver public sector projects and services.
