VCS NK Launch a Great Success!

After lots of hard work, Volunteer Centre North Kesteven finally opened its doors to the public on Monday 2nd June 2008, holding an informal drop in for both organisations and potential volunteers to come and see what the Centre is all about.

The launch also coincided with Volunteers Week which took place 1st - 7th June.

During the course of the week over 40 people came to see us, ranging from organisations requiring advice and help, to people wanting to volunteer their time but not quite knowing how to go about it. We were able to help with a variety of subjects, and also gave away reusable Volunteer bags that were filled with lots of information on volunteering in the North Kesteven area.

All in all, the response that the Volunteer Centre has had has been very positive and we would like to thank everyone for making the first week such a success.
