CS NK - Supporting the voluntary and community sector

The new Sleaford-based VCS NK provides a one stop shop for...

  • People wanting to volunteer
  • Groups to advertise volunteering opportunities
  • Training and support for staff and volunteers
  • Information and advice on constitutions, governance or funding
  • Have a say in community affairs

Volunteer Centre North Kesteven is a service of VCS NK and is one of three accredited volunteer centres in the west area of Lincolnshire under the umbrella of Urban Challenge. People interested in volunteering can use our Volunteer Centre to find out about local opportunities, and trained volunteering advisors will be on hand to offer guidance for those who aren’t sure where to start.

Voluntary and community groups in North Kesteven can now benefit from a brand new service which offers help and advice on a range of issues including setting up and running a group, recruiting volunteers and getting hold of funding.

Project officer Tim Barzycki is roaming the district to make contact with groups. “It’s important that people can use our services right across North Kesteven, not just in Sleaford. We’d like to hear from local charities, voluntary and community groups as we want to create a directory of organisations to help local people find out what’s out there”.
